- Will leak detection damage my property?
- No. We use non-invasive technology like thermal imaging, acoustic sensors, and ground-penetrating radar. No drilling, cutting, or demolition required in most cases.
- Does insurance cover leak detection?
- Many policies cover detection costs when water damage is present. We provide detailed reports for your insurance claim documentation.
- How quickly can you respond?
- Same-day response is often available for urgent situations. Regular appointments are typically scheduled within 24–48 hours.
- What if you don't find a leak?
- You receive a comprehensive report confirming no active leaks were detected. This documentation is valuable for insurance, property sales, or peace of mind.
- Can you work in production environments?
- Yes. Our technicians are trained for industrial environments, complete site-specific safety orientations, and follow your LOTO, confined space, and hot-work permit procedures.
- Do you detect compressed air, steam, and process fluid leaks?
- Yes. We use ultrasonic detection for compressed air, infrared for steam, and tracer gas for hard-to-find process leaks — in addition to standard water leak techniques.
- Can you support our annual insurance leak survey?
- Yes. We perform annual leak surveys for FM Global, AXA XL, Zurich, and other industrial insurers — providing the certified reports your carrier requires.
- How much compressed air can leaks actually waste?
- Industrial compressed air systems typically lose 25-35% of output to leaks. A single 3mm orifice at 7 bar wastes approximately $2,500/year in energy.
- Can you detect leaks in buried industrial piping?
- Yes. We use acoustic correlation and GPR to locate leaks in buried process water, fire loop, cooling water, and utility piping — without excavation.
- Do you offer lockout/tagout (LOTO) compliance?
- Yes. Our technicians are trained in industrial LOTO procedures and will follow your site's specific energy-isolation protocols.
- What safety certifications do your technicians hold?
- All technicians hold current WorkSafeBC certifications. Site-specific certifications (confined space, fall protection, H2S awareness, etc.) are completed as needed.
- Can you detect steam trap failures?
- Yes. We use ultrasonic detection and thermal imaging to identify failed-open steam traps — a common source of energy waste.
- Do you work during scheduled maintenance shutdowns?
- Yes. Scheduled shutdowns are often the ideal time for comprehensive leak surveys — full access without production pressure.
- Can you detect leaks in high-temperature piping?
- Yes. We use specialized thermal imaging and acoustic methods for applications up to 400C — including steam, thermal oil, and process piping.
- What types of industrial facilities do you serve?
- Manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing, cold storage, warehouses, data centres, lumber mills, pulp & paper, mining, energy, pharmaceutical, and more.
- Do you provide engineering-grade reports?
- Yes. Reports include quantitative findings, thermal imagery, acoustic data, and prioritised repair recommendations — suitable for engineering, maintenance, and insurance.
- Can you detect refrigerant leaks?
- Yes. We partner with certified refrigerant detection specialists for ammonia, freon, and other refrigeration system leaks.
- How do you prioritize which leaks to fix first?
- Our reports rank leaks by severity, energy cost impact, safety risk, and repair complexity — so your maintenance team knows where to start.
