The Problem
A BC mine site was losing significant process water from an 800m mill feed line across rugged terrain. Every repair visit had to be precisely scoped.
Detection Method
Acoustic correlation survey of the entire 800m line. Identified two leaks: one at 320m (flanged joint) and one at 680m (corrosion point). GPS coordinates recorded.
Results
Both leaks repaired in a single planned visit. Process water losses reduced by 60%. Mine's water management reporting showed conservation gain.
